The Center for Development and Training in the Use of Wheat Flour (CEDECAP) was founded by Molinos Modernos (a division of the Bosch Guti\u00e9rrez family<\/a>) more than 10 years ago with the aim of supporting entrepreneurship, developing and innovating businesses through on-site training at its headquarters, personalized advice at the customer’s production centers and technical seminars in the interior of the country. The initiative has grown to become an institution that has enabled more than 58 thousand people to transform their ideas into businesses.<\/p>\n

CEDECAP is characterized by offering a comprehensive curriculum for the development of businesses based on the use of wheat flour, covering technical, financial and administrative areas. In addition, innovative courses are included according to the season, such as Christmas, Mother’s and Father’s Day or Independence Day, among others.<\/strong><\/p>\n

THE BASIC BAKERY COURSES SUCH AS FRENCH BREAD, SHORTBREAD AND TOAST, AMONG OTHERS, WERE THE FIRST THAT CEDECAP PROVIDED, AS A TRAINING OPTION IN THIS PROFESSION. \u00a0LITTLE BY LITTLE AND THANKS TO THE GREAT INTEREST OF OUR CUSTOMERS IN TRAINING, WE INCLUDED SPECIALIZED COURSES IN BAKERY, PASTRY AND ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT OF THE BUSINESS. WE ARE VERY PROUD THAT PEOPLE ARE STARTING THEIR OWN BUSINESSES AND KNOW THAT THEIR SUCCESS STORIES WERE BORN WITH TRAINING AT OUR CENTER,” SAID THE HEAD OF CEDECAP TRAINING.<\/p>\n

The Guatemala and Quetzaltenango offices recently celebrated the graduation of 100 students from the 10th graduating class of the Wheat Flour Development and Training Center, bringing the total number of graduates of this program since 2007 to 1,258, and the training of more than 58,000 people since the center opened.<\/p>\n

Two years ago Molinos Modernos implemented the CEDECASA (Centro de Desarrollo de Negocios en Casa) program for entrepreneurs who wish to start a baked goods business, using the appliances they have at home; an option to generate income and contribute to the family economy, without leaving home.<\/p>\n

The institution has two branches, one in Guatemala City and the other in Quetzaltenango, where it offers on-site training programs. People interested in starting their own business can call or write through Facebook.<\/p>\n
