According to the expert, commerce during the Christmas season has a great impact on the economy, and in recent years the interest in doing so online has increased, specifically when discounts are received on products such as Black Friday, Cyber ​​Monday and Super Saturday, where clothing, accessories and electronics.

Data from the Agexport Market Intelligence Unit indicates that in 2021, 57 percent of consumers bought their gifts online; 43 percent, before October; 25 percent before Thanksgiving and just 12 percent in December.

In this sense, according to the Association, the consumption patterns of the time in Latin America (AL), in terms of food and beverages occupy 17 percent, followed by clothing and toys, with 15 percent; household items, 4.8 percent, and perfumes and cosmetics, with 3.8 percent.

The union highlighted that in LA there is an adoption of dishes such as turkey, which was the favorite of Mexicans last Christmas, compared to tamales. At the moment, the United States is the main Christmas market in the continent, with 59 percent; followed by Brazil, with 13 percent; Mexico, 6 percent, and Peru, with 1.6 percent, which have great demand for seasonal products.
