Education transforms lives

Lisa Juan José Gutiérrez Mayorga, director and president of Fundación Juan Bautista Gutiérrez and CMI Alimentos, respectively, believes that education transforms lives. Which is why she has created many initiatives to help people advance in education.

Education is one of the most important components in the progress of a country and the progress of its people and society. Not only does it provide the necessary information to perform a job properly, but it also improves culture and personal values.

As a result, Corporación Multi Inversiones (CMI) has created programs that contribute to the long-term development of education for future generations. Among these is CMI Educa, a project that tries to provide possibilities for personal growth while working to create an environment of respect that looks out for the community.

From training employees to creating opportunities in the lives of young people, we give them the skills they need to empower themselves and operate with integrity. This is accomplished through various programs. For example, university scholarships, food and study scholarships, infrastructure improvements in educational centers, community nurseries, university collaborations and training.

Education through the CMI Corporate University (laUcmi)

For more than 6 years, the CMI Corporate University (laUcmi) has been operating in collaboration with other companies. It internally certifies the learning, skills and specialized competencies that each collaborator develops. Its education program includes training topics such as skills and talents required by each business unit. As well as soft skills such as leadership and communication.

The program is based on three main pillars:

  • Individual responsibility for development
  • Leaders advising leaders
  • A learning model that mixes meaningful interactions with traditional education.

In 2021, it became the first Corporate University in Latin America to be certified by LPI (Learning & Performance Institute). One of the world’s leading institutions in corporate learning with more than 25 years of existence. He has collaborated with renowned companies such as PEPSICO, Amazon, DELL, Microsoft, Volvo, BMW Group, American Express, LEGO and BBVA.

“Because the heart of CMI is in the people, we believe that the basis for the exchange of information and skills is cooperation and continuing education.” “This accreditation is the product of years of hard work, responsibility and commitment to continue training thousands of collaborators”, said Luis Pedro Recinos, Corporate General Director of Ucmi.

Juan Bautista Gutiérrez Foundation University Scholarships

The Juan Bautista Gutiérrez Foundation, administered by President Lisa Juan José Gutiérrez Mayorga and Vice President Felipe Bosch, has awarded more than 365 university scholarships since the program began in the heart of Doña Isabel Gutiérrez de Bosch in 2000.

These scholarships try not only to pay the economic needs of the students. But also help them in their personal development through various training seminars throughout their careers.

As a result, the young graduates who have received this scholarship have demonstrated strong academic performance as well as professional qualities that distinguish them in their work and personal success in the country. Many of them have acquired skills that have enabled them to launch firms in a variety of sectors and industries, and others have even become involved in initiatives with global notoriety and influence.

Many people have been able to advance their careers and thrive in the workplace as a result of CMI’s education programs.
