He adds that data and artificial intelligence can facilitate decision making in companies and that business management trends such as corporate microlearning are becoming relevant in companies.

Examples of innovation

For example, black garlic and ready-to-eat hard-boiled eggs in shell are products of two companies seeking to innovate and diversify their exports.

Alimentos Campestres is a company focused on the manufacture of natural, dehydrated and nostalgic food products. The company recently developed an innovative solar-powered thermal food ripening process and its latest product is black garlic, which will be marketed under the brand name The Black Flavor.

Montes explains that the texture, flavor and aroma of black garlic is very different from white garlic. In addition, it has several health benefits and is highly valued in the world of haute cuisine. The company is preparing so that its product can be massively exported. At the moment it is sold in the U.S. market, which demands it in powdered, dehydrated and bulb form.
